He arrived in the bleak post World War II period of food rationing, fuel shortages and Europe in ruins. It was a desolate land but things got better. <br /> <br />After an independent education in Brighton (in the days of the Mods and Rockers and before it became the coolest place this side of Hoxton) Nick headed for London to study for a business degree and later an MBA. The world of advertising beckoned first to be followed by photography, property development, marriage and business consultancy – although not in that order. The marriage lasted the longest but eventually and sadly that too came to an end.
